Dosa Tamil Nadu Style - Chennai Thosai

When i do Dosa it reminds me of Dosa mama famoust uncle in south having almost all variety of thosai and the taste are unbeatable... not sure how he can pull off sich cooking for many people on time with quality...

After a long haul, i decided to make thosai or dosa they called as its one of my simplest and easier food, lunch or dinner to make...

I made for lunch and Dinner, Do you know in Tamil Nadu where the movie Beast is getting famous with Arabic Kuthu songs and Actor Vijay at his peak, Well that's how i feel when making this Dosa.

The hot plate or Dosa kal.. anyway suda suda oru thosai must remind you of Vadivelu comedy joke..

Anyway back to my topic on making thosai credit goes to the comedy as well..

1, 2,4,6 not enoigh, Thosai or Dosa is one of the most famoust staple food in South india with its population they do it with an ease.

I've been to many star hotels but doing dosa at home always are the best with highest quality.

Banglore Thali Meal set

 

I drove all the way from Chennai to Banglore just for a Thali set meal, so you can imagine the craze i have for these set meals althought its also famous in many many district in Tamil Nadu but there's always a kick having it outside Chennai....

I took a long drive that's my passion.... to have the meal above. I let you guess where did i go for it..

Cara tanam Daun Pandan, Planting Pandan Leaf

Do you know having Pandan Leaf gives joy especially for cooks at home because of it's fragrance and aroma that can be added in any cooking. 

I bought small young pandan plant from the nursery and then decided to plant it at home. 

It's very simple actually, when you buy the plant make sure you buy the pot size you want and at the same time soil that are required, perhaps nursery can recommend type of soil required. 

Mix it , dig it, plant it, shower it.

There you go a live pandan leave plant right at home and expected to grow big 

Just remember they can become bushy so try to use it occasionally as it's also good for health and make some jelly deserts during the weekends so that you wont just let it grow with using it.

It's a good cockroach repellent as well... 

 

Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang Best trip

Never to miss go to this hotel - Golden Sands in Penang, it was a long trip but finally made in 11 hours from Kuala Lumpur drive. 

Once checked in the hotel late evening the next day attempted to take some pictures of it's beautiful scenaries...and look below at some pine tree.. i think it is...

I have experienced few sunsets 

Overview of the hotel looks amazing....

Food counters during breakfast i would give 9/10 my personal review, although don't judge the book by it's cover...

Its a costly place to be roughly touching 1k mark almost per day as i went during peak season... no complains... as I did not cover all of these places as you can check out yourself... hahaha...

 

Cleaning your gas stove

Do you its very important to make sure that your gas stove end of day does not look like any of the picture in this blog. This is a clear sign of poor maintenance.

It's a rule of thumb to keep your kitchen clean not only wet areas but also after cooking to ensure all the oil spills are to be washed a way from the fire 🔥 area, if it's left out then the debrie will start to harden hence the lifespan of your stove will be shorter. 

Realistically to clean is not that hard, for instance once you have cooked and removed the pan from the stove always wipe away excess dirt, oil and debrie and this will firstly ensure that the products will stay how it was on the first day of purchase. 

Once you never clean and planning to leave to rot, well  i feel sorry for you because your cheap or expensive stove or a stove after warranty going to suffer the pain and causing you the pain interms of lost of good. 

Our mentality will be then to just blame the vendor and supplier for the stove not to work properly but on the other hand if we take care of it properly it would last for many-3  years. 

I do agree those days when my mom bought stove in the 1990's the stove lasted like 10years plus but never spoil an inch and at the same time it was cheap. unlikely stove nowadays for some reason looks almost the same but cost in thousands.. not sure why.. vendore claims good parts are used but then why the dirt and fault happens within 3 month. 

Last i know my mom hardly clean the stove in the 1990's yet no issues, nowadays we need to clean otherwise the fault on us...... hahahahahahaha

 

Cara tanaman timun Jepun, vertical tower cucumber, japanese cucumber

Last week i went to Midvalley kuala lumpur to grab a few grocery stuffs and at the same time i went to Aeon Big ti purchase a few household items. This is the place where i bought my japanese cucumber seed at the gardening section.

The seed price was relatively cheap and suitable for small gardening at home. I have sowed the seeds and it has sprouted and then i decided to take a video and channel it in youtube which i did and from there above in this youtube video of mine there are quite a number of information that i have shared best to my knowledge in seeding right up to planting cucumber.

My youtube channel name the vertical farming tower are well known for Chili planting on vertical tower basically its all about experimenting planting chili differently compared to conventional way in huge acres and fields.

I planted 500 trees in vertical tower within a 40 square feet of area. Yes that's right. Please check my channel. 

 

Perangkap musang di kebun

Musuh utama di kebun buah , sayuran kita rasa mungkin serangga perosak - memang betul, tetapi ada juga binating yang merosakan tanaman kita yang lain bukan lagi Musang. 

Biasa musang ini terkenal atas jualan durian musang king, tetapi binating ini sering dijumpai dikebun ladang tak kira dikawasan perumahan juga.

Di kebun vertical tower saya terdapat musang yang sering melawat sambil merosakan tanaman saya. Lalu saya belajar di youtube dari otai-otai yang power mengajar cara penyediaan sangkar untuk menangkap musang.

Saya telah buat sangkar tersebut dan anda boleh tenguk di youtube video saya. channel saya juga ada pelbagai video untuk tanaman lain seperti cili, terung, tomato, timun, petola dan lain lain. Ini adalah salah satu segment terkini experiment pelbagai tanaman dalam vertical tower dan khususnya menanam tanaman cili sakata dibahagian atas tower and dibawah tower tanaman bendi. 

Tetapi itu hanyalah salah satu experiment, sila tenguk video saya untuk pengetahuan yang lebih lanjut. Saya akan share macam mana nak maximise tanaman dalam vertical tower.

Cara tanam bendi dalam vertical tower sampai hasil

Kali ini saya cuba experiment baru iaitu menanam bendi dalam vertical tower tetapi ada twist dia...

ok tower boleh muat 26 pokok and kebanyakan tanaman yang saya buat adalah pokok cili, tetapi pokok cili bahagian atas memang memberi hasil yang memuaskan padahal pokok bahagian bawah vertical tower tidak begitu merangsangkan sebab kemungkinan cocopeat basah lama, serangan kulat walaupun treatment sentiasa dibuat.

Sekarang saya telah experiement menanam bendi pada vertical tower dan memang ada hasil seperti di video atas dalam youtube channel saya, tapi kali ini saya menanam pokok cili di bahagian atas vertical tower and pokok bendi di bahagian bawah tower, jadi lebih kurang 1 tower add 10 pokok cili kulai sakata f1 hybrid and 10 pokok bendi.

Saya yakin tanaman ini akan tumbuh dengan sempurna dan lagipun baja yang saya berikan adalah baja AB yara tera and ubat membasmi serangga white fly atau lalat putih adalah seperti berikut, malathion 57, leili fortineem, cuka kayu, dan untuk menahan seranggan penyakit saya mengunakan softguard leili 2000, Ezigrow yang juga boleh digunakan sebagai semburan foliar bawah daun.

Breakfast Challenge Tik Tok

Ok it's not tik tok or other fancy shorts of youtube, i just wanted to share on how i make my basic breakfast the effort taken...

Just get your self 2 bread and toast it like a pro using toaster...

Spread them on with butter and peanut butter. In this case i use Ladies Choice for peanut butter.

Making coffee well my favourite is Nescafe , i can say Malaysian Heritage beverage similar to Milo and others.

Absolute Thai Menu

 

If you ask me the most decent place to have Thai food in Kuala Lumpur would be the Absolute Thai, I've been going here for the past several years without fail their food are excellent. Recently with technology advancement they have changed their odering method through online by scanning a bar code and then you pick you item from the menu. 

Although through the years i spend my time and would always order Tomyam Meehon seafood clear soup with extra spicy and with desert like Mango rice and coconut water chesnut for the desert i can't really remember the name as i will just point it out.

The most common place i would go is in Midvalley and ofcourse during the earlier days Absolute Thai existed in Bangsar Village and due to the pandemic they had to close down. 

I took the vibrant surrouding looks like you can enjoy kind of a fine dining but neverthelese never under estimate the quality of services. 

The Paad thai was nice tooo... you should try they stir fry and also other vegetable as well 

Well the best said about these place as for the price i would say its a value for money and i never got food poisoning ever from this place or neither feel bloated after eating which means they really have quality control in food preparation.
