When you talk about Fenugreek or Methi it's famous with and overwhelming on health benefits, commonly used herb in India as part of cooking spices. Hence the medicinal benefits are too good.

Direct to the point - regular intake of Fenugreek or Methi lower the total cholesterol especially bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride level while increase the good cholesterol HDL

It helps on diabetics and blood pressure, a good antioxidant and gives you the strenght that you need.

Pregnant woman use to take this everyday as it cools them and at the same time improves milk productions.

Well the interesting part is WEIGHT LOSS, it's perfectly meant for that. It raise testosterone and this increases metobolism and helps in fat reduction in blood cells.

Most commonly if you are experiencing inflamation then fenugreek should be taken with some recommended dosage.

Caution - Diabetic patience whom are already on medication should carefully consume fenugreek as counter react could happen.

Over dosing of fenugreek could cause some one with variety of illness such as nausea, diahrea and possible digestive issue.

It can drop blood sugar suddenly therefore careful in taking it.

Due to the iron and protein source with including flavanoids and saponins, this makes hair grow faster and sustain being black.

Although many people already seeing the benefit of fenugreek on skin as it lighten the skin complextion.

Daily intake should be confined to 2-5grams only - I personally would soak before bed in a glass of water and then once i wake up I would consume the water directly on an empty stomach.

I feel the body becoming like iron and feel stronger and energetic through out the day, maybe due to the testosterone enhancement by this fenugreek.

Hydroponic using mineral water bottle wick system

I would like to share a simple method for you to try making hydroponic planting at home, it's quite easy as we speak here.. watch my video and you ill be amazed how easy it is.

All you need
  1. 1. 1.5L  used mineral water bottle
  2. 2. Buy wick from lazada or shopee or online its relatively cheap, cost around RM12 for 20 pieces.
  3. 3. Buy a seeding tray if you with Mr.DIY seeding tray only cost about RM4
  4. 4. Seeds in this case for started - i would suggest Pak Choy ( chinese cabbage )
  5. 5. Don't forget most important item ( hydroponic fertilizer A and B) , you can buy it online price ranges from RM10 to 20 depending on the bottle size that you buy.
I generally use Peatmoss to germinate by Pak Choy seeds which takes around 7 days , after which i will transfer it to the mineral water bottle where i have set it up.

Wait and monitor for 2-3 weeks and you will have the produce ready.

Enjoy trying it out. Build you own small farm. If you explore my video, i have done other methods as well by planting tomato and chili plants and other variety of plants as well.

Rice with Banana leave and Mutton Curry

Indian way of Lunch that is Banana leaf rice with mutton curry.  This is how it looks like. I'm sure some of you reading my blog non indian could have atleast once in your lifetime eat lunch or dinner on banana leave.

Rice with Banana leave and Mutton Curry

Facts - Why eating on banana leave? While you serve hot rice and curry , the food is automatically aromatized in a way and the essence of banana leave then mixes with the food while you eat. It's generally known to give additional flavour and help digestion..

First up, although my mom was cooking these sumptuous meals , i had to go and scout out for Banana leaf and its not easy to find when you live in the city. Therefore it was a bit of a challenge. India restaurent wont sell banana leaf as they might need to use for their customers.

This is the start of it, filling the banana leaf with simple but interesting food items.

I'm not a big rice eater but took a heavy portion  it..

Added what its called "apalam" or "papadam" crunchy stuff round shape..

Important category of the item mutton paratel and stir fry cabbage, these two combination are always prefered as the basic when eating mutton curry on banana leaf, while you can add other sides as well to your wish...

Cabbage added...

Below is the complete items on banana leaf

Forgot to mention, in away its a customary to dd pickle to the banana leaf food, it ids digestion to the next level.

Started  eating a well deserved meal...

Once you finish eating this how the bones and left overs looks like...

Some close up of the bones

Well i wish you should try to eat this way, nothing fancy about it, if you can't do  at home then you can always go to your nearest indian restaurent and have a try...

Simple Morning Breakfast

Morning when  i wake up, i decided to make me breakfast myself, my mother was cooking chicken curry, while the bread stock at home finished and i did not stcok it up.

Simple breakfast does not have to be complicated

Then i decided to utilize the curry and make a flat bread similar to tortilla, but tortilla is the harder version the one i made was too simple.

End result looks like this...

Mindfully was delicious....

Chichen curry can go with anything, bread, rice, chapati, roti canai, thosai, idly + many many more.

A close up of the flat bread ( i don't have a name for it)

Looks nice doesn't it...

Well here how i did it... ( ingredients and steps)

      1. I took enough scoop of plain flour into a bowl, mixed with water , little bit of salt and sugar to your taste,
      2. Mix it well and it must be watery and not thick at the end result.
      3. Put on the flat surface hot plate.
      4. Pour the mixture in a big scoope and add little butter to your taste, and since i use non stick pan oil was not required but for taste i just added the butter..
      5. With medium flame 2 minutes on each side, then its done.

Hydroponic Pak Choy

Pak Choy is known to be famous in the chinese community as the most favourite vegetable, its easy to grow within 2-3 weeks you have your vege either at supermarket or at your garden by planting yourself with the right way.

Facts : Grows within 3 weeks to maturity, origin from China.

People often gets confused with Bok Choy and Pak Choy, Bok Choy means in away that it comes from Shanghai. Both are referring to the same vegetable.

I have put up some video for your viewing pleassure on how i planted Pak Choy easily on a hydroponic methed using recycle material.

All you need as below

1. 1.5L mineral bottle used ones..
2. Find  wick like a thick mopping thread or buy it from Shoppe or lazada it hardly cost RM5 for 20 wick
3. Seeds buy them only cost you RM2-4 only and will contain 100s of seed.
4. Now you can buy Hydroponic Fertilizer A and B from online like shopee or lazada or from City Farm. Since i was starting and want to reduce failure rate therefore i bought from City farm, but later on i bought online since i knew first attempt worked.
5. You will need seeding tray and sponge specially for Hydroponic but i chose peatmoss for germination which cost me RM4 at nursery, unable to finish it.

So there you go all in less than RM25 only and the fertilizer will sustain till few months
by that time you would have your green produced atleast 50 to 60 depends how many set you put up.

The one i show you just one way but there are many ways to plant Pak Choy either on soil or by Hydroponic method..

Good luck

Farm in the City, Sri Kembangan

Today we arrive at the Farm in the City at Sri Kembangan - it turn out to be an exciting day throughout the day, for me this place seems to be like a big backyard of village house with lots of animals.  But here if i compare with Zoo Negara , I prefer this place for three reason and not for 1 reason.

1. Fair is cheap
2. most of the animal can be touched
3. Places are small like within 2 acres surrounding easy to walk

The one reason is that, this place is not in genting highland for the counter food such as beverages to be expensive, but inside they are selling 100+ for RM4.5 500ml bottle, for me that's quite expensive. If this price were thrown at Genting i don't mind.
But its not a show stopper as nobody forcing you to buy it.. You can might as well tapau from kedai mamak before coming in. Sames goes to ice cream RM2.5 are sold at RM5
