Don Julio is one of the best tequila i have ever had.It is being produced in Mexico with the manufacturer Diageo.
This brand has it's own history, it all started in the year 1942, when the young Don Julio Gonzales found a perfect way to make a tequilla without having much in his hands.
As for the flavour it has a very strong vanilla taste, cooked agave, oak and with quite a caramel taste.
If you look for the shelf brands rest assured look for Don Julio, 1942. Or even if you are hangging out in pubs and bistro, checj if they server this brand and that shows this places server the best in class qualities in terms of drinks, beverages and cocktails not missing mocktails as well.
Although its not meant for cocktail but you can or suggest to always drink it neat, maybe this is an old fashion way.
The 100% Blue weber agave plant makes it happen in creating the right tequilla for Don Julio.
In terms of the bottle, shape and logos, i really love them and everytime when i buy i tend to keep the bottle and not throwing them away. It's sound classic to have in your home showcase as part of decoration.
Now you have probably drank the standard tequilla mix in many pubs, I've been to Malaysian pubs in Jalan Telawi- bangsar, Bintang walk area- Bukit Bintang, Penang island hopping, hotels and others bistros and the most comment serving is Tequilla sunrise. Little addition of orange juice. Which happens to be one of my favourite.
