Taman Negara is the Malay Peninsula's largest national park. In fact, the word Taman Negara literally translates to 'National Park' in Malay. It's a rainforest and animal preserve, and one of the country's remaining surviving places outside of Malaysian Borneo. The easiest way to get here is to go down the river, and there are small settlements accessible by boat where you may stay overnight before taking on the high-altitude canopy treks.
