Nowadays making thosai is very easy because there are lots of brands in the market preparing and selling ready mate thosai flour..


the instruction is there, you just need to take 1 cup ( any type of cup) and 1/half cup of water , mix it well and let it rest for 10 mins , that's all its needed.

Once i have prepared the mix . its time to make thosai... take a plat hot pan and make sure its with medium heat on on the stove. 



Pouring the mix to shape into thosai relatively requires skills and effort, eventually you will be able to make into a perfect shape. 



Normally thosai are not meant to be flipped but i did that... different people got different style 



What you see above is the coconut tomato chutney outcome.



First stir fry 1 onion, 2 tomato, with oil which is firstly fried with mustard seeds and asafetida. Then only add the cut onion and tomato.



Add coconut cuts into pieces into blender to your liking and add coriander and curry leave that was lightly fried with together with the other ingredient. 

Blend it ... and chutney is ready....



You can also buy thosai or idly podi , its a mix powder that are normally spread onto the thosai once its being poured. extra flavoring. 



Once thosai were done neatly, i ate with chutney and also with chicken curry that my mother made.
