This Hindu temple, which spans 400 square kilometres and took 35 years to finish under the Khmer Empire, was built in the 12th century.
Angkor Wat is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it not only houses the temple's awe-inspiring ancient wonders, but also numerous tourist sites and plenty of jungle hiking to get there.
