Founded in 1000 BC, the colony of Byzantium evolved into the famous capital of the Byzantine Empire, Constantinople, and despite the Ottoman conquest of the city, it preserved its proud position as the empire's heart.
The city (formally called Istanbul following the Turkish Republic's foundation) is strewn with gorgeous vestiges of its long and storied past, and the city's tourism attractions will wow even the most monument-weary visitor.
Allow enough time to see the other sights in addition to the major four (the Hagia Sophia Mosque, Topkap Palace, Blue Mosque, and Grand Bazaar).
Despite the fact that many of the most popular and nicest locations to visit are in or around Sultanahmet's old city area, there is a dazzling array of additional things to do across the city.
Covid is subsiding .. the next place i will go is to Istanbul, quite beautiful infact these places....
